Feng Shuican be considered a division of what we are now classifying as The Da Vinci Code-
• It all branches from the main tree: Sacred Geometry. Groups such as The Free Masons also have practiced these principles of design and balance. Washington is laid out in this manner, as is Paris. My own neighbor is currently battling the forces of academia regarding his discovery that Rome and her temples (now churches) is laid out on a very definite, specific plan which replicates perfect, geometric shapes.
• The placement of every great cathedral, as well as the structure and placement of sculpture and stained glass within- all base the locations upon Sacred Geometry. Dowsing comes from this tradition, too. One of the most successful urban developments in Los Angeles, The Grove, was constructed with strict adherence to Feng Shui principles- (several experts were called in, one of whom is a dear friend of mine- Simona F. Mainini www.FengShuiArch.com ) The concepts and elements of Sacred Geometry stretch a creative person's abilities beyond what we humans think we are capable of. The grandeur of these concepts has been pounded into a wretched mediocrity now called Urban Planning. The opposite is also possible, as in the I.M. Pei skyscraper shown at left.
• ONE MAJOR ELEMENT overlooked in all Da Vinci Code passion and Feng Shui obsession: SERVICE TO HUMANITY; to the Planet; the Greater Good. We are now living in the same paradigm as the last days of Atlantis. Then, as now, no one felt they were exploiting the energies of the earth for personal gain- folks just wanted more, more, and more.
You cannot have DaVinci Code activity without, eventually addressing the issues of giving back. In the 21st century incarnation of what was once a continental consciousness, we experience the spiritual/cultural dominos that collapsed Atlantis laid out again. This time involving, not just one continent, but the entire planet.
There are many who feel DaVinci and Benjamin Franklin were both Atlanteans- I feel they are the reincarnated humans of the same soul. Franklin's contributions to America keep the magic alive in every day living, too.
“Vitruvian Man” by Leonardo Da Vinci
It is much easier to see Leonardo's source, "Vitruvian Man," as the inspiration for the Emmy when one views it as an enlargement. The vast Emmy sculpture making up the fountain outside The Academy of Television Arts and Sciences was very inspiring for me when I first viewed it in person. The strong California sun shooting from all the reflective angles may also indicate some very contemporary Sacred Geometric activity.
"Vitruvian Emmy" 24" x 24" Casein Fresco on canvas by Mark Venaglia
This painting is to remind everyone associated with television of its ability to affect millions of minds and spirits. The potential for instantaneous inspiration exists every time one television is turned on.
